Dr. Kristen Valliant
Dr. Valliant returned to the section of General Internal Medicine as a clinical instructor after being in private practice for the past ten years. She sees Tulane “physicians in training” at the Tulane University Resident/Fellow Concierge Clinic and supervises residents in the Medicine continuity clinics.
She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Loyola University in New Orleans and pursued her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans and she served as a Chief Resident of Internal Medicine for the 2000 – 2001 academic year.
Dr. Ronald Slipman
Dr. Slipman is a board-certified family medicine physician and faculty liaison to Tulane’s rural family medicine preceptors. He provides compr ehensive family medicine for adults and children, with special interests in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and men’s health.
Dr. Slipman received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and French from Washington University in St. Louis. He received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. He completed his residency in family medicine at East Jefferson General Hospital and joined the faculty at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is also active in the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Nicole Nash
Dr. Nicole Nash is a board-certified family medicine physician. She treats acute and chronic conditions in children and adults. Her interests include preventive medicine and non-operative musculoskeletal care.
Dr. Nash is a native of Memphis, TN. She received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She earned her medical degree and a Master in Public Health from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR. She completed a family medicine residency at UAMS- Southwest in Texarkana, AR.
Dr. Nash has additional training in sports medicine, completing a fellowship at Southern Illinois University in Quincy, IL before moving to New Orleans to join the faculty at Tulane. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
A. Jenine Dabon, MN, APRN
Ms. Jenine Dabon is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Hampton University in Hampton, VA. Ms. Dabon practiced as a Registered Nurse in medical-surgical, critical care and oncology for over 15 years prior to returning to graduate school. She received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2014. Prior to joining Tulane University, Ms. Dabon served as Faculty in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and went on to work as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Primary Care with a focus on Health and Wellness.
Additionally, she completed several clinical rotations in the following areas: Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Health Assessments, Endocrinology and Acute/Chronic Care Management. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Dabon also holds professional memberships with the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
